Being at one with Magnum (the horse) was paramount. Kinda reminded me of being at one with life force energy, when you let it flow, loosen the grip of holding on and having it your way, only then do your body and mind move in the direction which is most serving for you. Isn’t that just life? Sometimes we are so stuck in our own ways of thinking, that we don’t have the space to count the blessings and continue creating and harboring space for fear, shame, guilt, and pain. These very things anchor us down, leading to heaviness and it gets too weighty to flow in the direction we really would love to be growing. Take a moment and reflect on the blessings you experienced today, then do it again tomorrow, and then the day after and watch the load in your heart slowly become lighter and lighter. It’s ok to feel what you feel, and it’s also ok to loosen the grip a little to ride on the universe’s wings. A year ago I had a dream (literally) and as I wrote the dream in the morning into my journal I remember my inner voice making a comment like….’hmmm nah’ almost negating that it could be possible for me. In the dream I was riding a horse, he was a white horse and we were galloping through a sea that had parted to create a pathway for us. It felt so real and I smiled to myself thinking I wonder what it would actually be like, what would that experience feel like? I had not heard from any family members or close friends that they had done this, so I didn’t have any first-hand information to go on. That year in June, I visited a horse riding place and watched from a distance. These beautifully built strong animals. I didn’t commit to riding but just wanted to feel how it would be to be near them. There was a calm, warm, and nurturing associated feeling about them. A year later, as I took my physical and mental well-being, high into my daily priorities, I started to walk a lot more in nature. To my surprise on my walks, I saw elegant swans, mischievous squirrels, calm ducks, laid-back rustic cattle, and majestic horses. The dream came back to me, and I began to realize that it was a seed planted deep within, that I wanted to experience horse riding. I closed in and explored further and so many signs were showing up, encouraging me to do something which I’d only heard about. I decided I’d leave it to the universe and when the time is right it will come my way. Lo and behold the month of June (1 year later) was a special month for me and I got to experience this with a beautiful horse named Pi. My trainer Tonya Ellis was amazingly encouraging and she really help me tune in and be at one with Pi. As I reflect on the experience I’m grateful for the wisdom and awareness, that this was an act of pure self-love. Sending things out to the universe and having certainty that when the timing is right, things come about your way to experience what you need to experience. Sometimes as human beings, we have the tendency to want things right away and it can become frustrating when the demand isn’t met. And intern we place these very things on the back burner and then forget about them. But when we learn and can accept, that the time from the moment we want/see something that’s inspiring till the moment we get to actually meet that experience, that in-between time is actually preparing us in the most relevant ways for our experience to be met head-on in the best way for us. I certainly used that time, in between, to strengthen my physical body as well as creating the space in my mind to be fully present for something I chose for myself. The word "mistake" means you take the shot but you miss. What is good about this? It is that you took the shot and taking the shot will always be BETTER than folding your arms and expecting things to happen. The brain grows a synapse when we make mistakes due to brain plasticity (Jo Boaler, 2016). This is like constructing a road in an area where there is no road. Learning is maximized when students are taught to cultivate a healthy relationship with their mistakes. Mistakes are not bad, it is your relationship with them that is bad. So, it is okay to make a mistake, this is a natural part of learning. I even congratulate students for making mistakes because I know that neurologically, something new has taken shape. This is a compilation of what self-love. True self love is about blossoming into the best possible version of you, the version that knows no limits to what can be achieved. It’s not so much about what you do (as individuals can act out of habit), but how you think and feel about yourself at any given moment, and how you implement the right tools and techniques to ensure the best output of the results you wish to achieve. By recognising where you are holding onto thoughts and beliefs that do not serve you any longer, and upgrading them to the desired level, you give yourself the best possibility to raise your own vibration to meet with the next level required of you. Ultimately it's about allowing yourself and really giving yourself the permission to become the individual you choose to be and have complete clarity and confidence to create the life you absolutely desire.

Identity of any person is either conscious or unconscious. To have an unconscious identity means you are living from people's expectations, the projected norms and idealisms of family and society. So in essence, you are just repeating patterns that have been established long before you were born and therefore you render your life meaningless by living from an unconscious identity. Hence, we see many people who end up living unfulfilling lives, even though initially they may look happy. Regarding conscious identity. The word "conscious" simply means being awake, aware and alert. This amounts to knowing thyself from deep within, being awake to your thoughts and emotions, connecting spiritually with who it is you are and designing your life in congruence with that. Some of us have experienced a consistent repetition advise of ‘Be Strong’. Those words have been heard by my ears for as long as I can remember, and I’m pretty sure many of you can relate. What many of us may or may not know is that once upon a time many individuals learnt to live this way because they didn’t know how to exercise any other way of being. Whether they went through any type of abuse, heartbreak, challenge or pain they could only remain like this ‘rock’ in front of the world and therefore got used to hiding the trauma in their mind, and then they shared the same message with their loved ones, be it their child, sibling, spouse, family, friends and even colleagues.
